Acerca de mí

Soy Gabriela Pérez, periodista en Denver. Y esta es mi voz.

Hola, gracias por llegar hasta aquí.
Soy originaria de Parral, Chihuahua, y crecí en una familia donde la radio no solo era trabajo, era historia. Mi abuelo fue el fundador de la primera estación de radio en Parral, y mi padre continuó su legado como locutor. Desde niña supe que la comunicación no era una opción: era un llamado.

Estudié Ciencias de la Comunicación con especialidad en Periodismo en la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), en Monterrey. Desde entonces, llevo más de 28 años dedicada a lo que amo: informar con criterio, conectar con las personas y dar voz a quienes no siempre la tienen.

He trabajado en México como conductora, productora y gerente de radio. Desde el año 2000 resido en Denver, Colorado, donde he formado parte de tres estaciones de radio como presentadora de noticias y también fui productora de segmentos en Telemundo Colorado. Además, colaboro activamente con organizaciones comunitarias promoviendo programas de salud, educación y bienestar para la comunidad hispana.

Soy madre de dos jóvenes maravillosas, y junto a ellas —y nuestro perrito— comparto los valores que también llevo a mi trabajo: compromiso, respeto, humanidad.

He recibido premios de la Cámara de la Industria de Radio y Televisión de Colorado y otros reconocimientos que agradezco profundamente, pero mi mayor logro es cuando alguien me dice:
"Gracias, necesitaba escuchar eso."

Mi enfoque siempre ha sido claro: contar historias con profundidad, ética y empatía. Me apasionan los temas sociales, la política, la salud y todo lo que toca de verdad la vida de nuestra comunidad.

Si algo me define, es el criterio con el que abordo cada tema. Creo que el periodismo no solo informa: transforma.
